Society & Group Meetings

See if you can find anything?

Many Groups use Craig-y-Don Community Centre so if you don't see anything at the moment please keep checking back as things change regularly.

Conwy Beekeepers' Association meets in the Main Hall on the last Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm, September to April, no meeting in December. Newcomers welcome, email Click to email or phone 01492 650851. See Conwy Beekeepers for information.

Women's Institute.

Llandudno WI was founded in 1985.
Each WI is an independent unit but we are affiliated to the Conwy Valley Group, Gwynedd/Caernarfon Federation and the National Federation of Women's Institute.

Inaugural meetings of the Llandudno WI were held at St.Paul's Church but then at Craig-y-Don Community Centre in Morley Road and now Craig-y-Don Community Centre on Queens Road.

We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2.15pm. Each meeting begins with the singing of "Jerusalem" or by us saying the WI prayer together.

After a time of "business" when we hear news of local Federation & National events we welcome a speaker.

The subjects of our speaker are varied but always interesting. Recent topics include "Snowdonia", "Canals of Wales" and the "The Floriad"

On the 3rd Wednesday of each month we hold a Social Afternoon, alternatively at the Queens Elizabeth Court, where we meet former WI members now unable to attend our main meetings, and at Craig-y-Don Community Centre. Where we enjoy games and a chat.

We are a lively group with many talents and interests. We have regular outings both local and further afield.

New members are always welcome, and information about our activities can be found on the Craig-y-Don Community Centre notice boards and in the North Wales Weekly News.
